Statement of Sovereignty
The Republic of Soundland is a sovereign and independent nation and is entitled to all the rights and duties of a state, including the right to exercise sovereignty over our territorial bodies. We affirm our status as a state and our basic international rights in accordance with the principles set forth in the Montevideo Convention of 1933.
Soundland possesses a permanent population, a defined territory, a government, and the ability to engage in foreign relations. As such, we meet all the criteria for statehood under the convention.

Article 3 of the Montevideo Convention of 1933 states that "The political existence of the state is independent of recognition by the other states. Even before recognition the state has the right to defend its integrity and independence". As such, meeting the criteria of statehood under the convention, we reserve these rights.

We uphold the principles of democracy, liberty, and equality for all persons as put forth by our constitution and strive to promote and protect international law and human rights within our borders and abroad.

Soundland is committed to peaceful cooperation and diplomacy among nations. We seek to build positive relationships and partnerships that benefit both our nation and the international community.

The Republic of Soundland is dedicated to promoting the welfare of our citizens, protecting their rights and freedoms, and working towards a peaceful and prosperous future for all.
